How does Imunify360 protect my website?

Any device or website publicly available to the internet is vulnerable for attacks. On a daily base, creators of big and small systems (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) publish updates to fix vulnerabilities in applications. The problem with these updates is that they are responsive to bugs that are most likely are already publicly known. Usually, publicly known bugs are heavily abused to gain access to a website for abusing the server capacities or blacklisting the website.

With Imunify360, this works a bit different. By using multiple layers of security, our servers are able to stop attacks more quickly, even when no updates are available yet to your application. This makes our servers extra secure and reduces the chance of getting hacked. Because of this, you do not have to worry about hacked applications as our servers are more secure by default.

Of course, we recommend to keep your website up-to-date. Even though Imunify360 is an advanced piece of security, there is no guarantee that every hack is blocked. That said, we block most attacks already and you can easily update with Softaculous or Installatron.

What layers of security do you offer?

  • WAF
  • IDS / IPS
  • Malware Detection
  • Proactive Defense
  • Patch Management
  • Reputation Management

WAF: An extensive Web Application Firewall blocks most known malicious requests. Furthermore, a score of each visitor is made based on analyses and behaviour. When a visitor is deemed as suspicious, the visitor gets a recaptcha page to proove it is not a malicious visitor.

IDS/IPS: Intrusion Design and Protection System. By analysing the request we can reduce the number of hacks and remote exploits (executing commands remotely).

Malware detection: Blocks malware before it hits the webserver. By doing so, a high number of attacks are blocked.

Pro-active defense: Scanning files for malware is not enough. Instead, we also monitor a PHP script live when it executes it code for malicious activity and terminate the script when such activity has been detected. This increases the security on our platforms heavily since attacks are more likely to be blocked.

Patch Management: All support PHP versions get the latest supported PHP versions. Even old PHP versions (such as 4.4) get updates. This makes old PHP versions much more secure than the PHP versions released on php.net.

Reputation Management: With reputation management we monitor the reputation of every domain. If Google lists a domain, reputation management will detect this.
